Hi, I’m Dr. Joanne Ketch (LPC-S, LMFT-S, LCDC, SAP, DPC), but most clients call me Dr. Jo
My early career in business hit a wall because my alcohol use eventually prevented me from “reaching my full potential.” My mentors were baffled because my trajectory and history showed that I should have achieved “more” and “more quickly” but what wasn’t obvious to them was that I was drinking massive amounts of alcohol daily and it was getting worse.
It didn’t make sense.
I fit the characteristics of a “high-functioning person with an alcohol use disorder” exactly. Even with as much as I was drinking, I was driven, high achieving, productive, “type A,” and in many ways successful.
Does that sound like you?
I got sober, learned to manage stress, and enjoy life. I have happily lived through major celebrations, rites of passage, seasons of life, life’s minor and major stressors, career, and life demands - all while sober.
After 15 years of sobriety, I returned to school and combined my life experience with a lot of academic and professional training and now it’s my mission to help other professionals learn how to live comfortably sober.
What Others Are Saying…
“Joanne is extremely skilled at recovery support. I have witnessed her deep knowledge of multi-modal therapies delivered with care and compassion. She’s always empathetic but has no problem cutting to the chase and pointing out issues and solutions. I only wish my family had encountered her earlier in our recovery journey.”
-Melissa Sorensen
“Joanne is brilliant. The way she combines the science and the holistic approach is masterful.”
- Tyler Ward, LCDC, CCTP, CGCS | FOUNDER, CHIEF CLINICAL OFFICER
“Dr. Ketch is revolutionizing the landscape of Substance Use Disorder (SUD) care through her commitment to evidence-based practices. What distinguishes Dr. Joanne Ketch is her profound compassion and her ability to tailor treatment approaches to meet each individual where they are in their journey.”
